Herpes testing

I had a herpes test done 5 days and 1 day short of 4 weeks for herpes. It has now been over 3 months. What is the chance that the 2 negative tests I took earlier can come  back positive after 3 months?

Thanks

herpes wouldn't present the way your symptoms are. it's really time to move past the idea that you could possibly have herpes!!

The only thing that really worries me is the fact that it has been 3 months and I'm still dealing with this issue. A red spot in my urethra that comes and goes and all the antibiotics have not gotten rid of this.

Thanks Grace.... He did say it is highly unlikely but it is possible. I am going to get the test done again so I can ease my mind. Thank you for your comments.

your urologist is greatly misinformed about the way herpes is transmitted. you don't need additional testing for herpes - you were never at risk from this encounter!!

is a test a month post encounter reliable? no it is not.

Don't let a misinformed provider waste your time or money with needless testing!!

Yes.... i know your going to say its not herpes but my urologist wants me to take another test to rule it out. He has never seen anything suggesting herpes but wants to rule it out. He has given me bactrim and doxy so far. Things seem to be a little better but i'm still dealing with some lingering issues.

I'm just wondering how reliable the test was at 4 weeks.
