About a year ago, I went to the doctor because I was having many yeast infections. The doctor wanted to do testing for all the STD's and also herpes. All the STD tests were ok but the herpes test came back pos. for both of them, they did a blood test from my arm. I still do not show any signs of herpes. I want to go back to another doctor for more testing but they do not offer the herpes select test, which I got off this site. What test should I ask for when I go back to the doctor. I would like to know which one I have to be for sure. Thanks
Can you get a copy of your blood test results from that time and post the numeric results here for me to look at? I just need to see - hsv1 igg 4.6 and hsv2 igg 1.7 or whatever they were. Then we can see if you need additional testing done or not.
If you are waiting to get "classic" blister like herpes lesions in your genital area you might be waiting a heck of a long time. If you haven't read the herpes handbook yet at www.westoverheights.com - be sure to give it a read. It gives you a better idea of what to look for so that hopefully in the future you can recognize the signs of a recurrence genitally.
Do you have a regular partner? Have they been tested yet?
i went back to the doctor to get a copy of my test and they told me I would have to the hospital that did the testing to get the results. When I got there, they only had a copy of the HIV
test and said the the only tests has not been release and they were still waiting on them, it was almost a year when I went back for the test. I do not knw what is going on because the doctor said the test came back pos for both herpes. She is telling me that the test came back but the hospital said they were not release. Also my husband has not been test because she said that by me having it he also has it. He also does not show any signs. I do not know what to do. And she still did not telling me the reason for the repeating yeast infection. I have been tesed for diabetes, AIDS
Just because you have herpes - doesn't mean your husband has it too. Since they can't seem to find your herpes test results - why not you and your hubby both go get tested for hsv1 and hsv2 with igg blood tests and see what both your statuses are and go from there?
Yes indeed some women just are prone to repeated yeast infections. Sometimes it's due to our hormones, sometimes to diet, sometimes to wearing panty hose/panty shields and such too. You might also want to look into a product called femdophilus by jarrow - it helps to restore the "good" bacteria down yonder so that the "bad" bacteria don't keep over growing.
