Herpes type 1 transmission ?

  I got genital herpes type 1( just got over my first outbreak )  that my husband gave me ( has oral herpes type 1 ) , Can he get   genital herpes type 1 from me  if we don't use any kind of protection and don't have any intercourse during outbreak ,can he give me oral herpes from kissing We been living together since many years so was hard to believe after so many years that I ended up with genital herpes type 1 ,we never used any kind of protection and not really planning to do so but just wondering I don't want him to suffer like I did

Since you both have HSV1, it gives you both significant protection against transmitting it to another location. Just avoid sex should either of you have an active outbreak.

I have genital HSV1 as well, and it took my partner five years to transmit it to me via frequent oral sex. So yes, it can happen years later. But the good news is, you probably will have very few outbreaks (1 or 2 the first year, then maybe one every other year after that).
