Herpes type 1

by latulip, Dec 23, 2008 12:02AM
I read in the responses that you said with Herpes1 genital the liklihood of getting break outs is minimal.  Is there a difference in Herpes 1 and 2 when it comes to the genital blisters?  I received herpes 1 from oral sex when my partner was about to get a fever blister.  He didn't actually have it but acquired it later the same day.  So, it must have been forming and he didn't know it.  I really want to know if there is a difference for break-outs, treatments, sex practices, for herpes 1 genital over herpes 2 genital?

have you read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com yet? it's free to read online or print out to read at home. it has lots of good info on hsv1 genitally as well as treatments to consider.

Overall, hsv1 genitally reoccurs less often than hsv2 does.
