Herpes type 2 skin to skin contact

Can genital herpes or Herpes type 2 be transmitted through salivia? Also, what exactly does skin to skin contact mean? If my friend has genital herpes could it pass to me if I touch him anywhere besides for the infected area?

no, you won't get your friends genital herpes from touching someone. it takes intimate contact to contract it.

genital herpes isn't present in saliva.
