I guess what worries me the most is that supposedly this test isn't fda approved and I wonder why .. If it's accurate and a good test ? When I told the doctor about it he looked at me confused . Do u kno why this test isn't fda approved ?
I'm not Grace, but I'm sure she would answer exactly as I will: The Western blot tells the true story. And this was expected: even though an ELISA value over 1.1 is technically positive, most people with values of 1.16 are not infected. In fact, only levels much higher than this (3.5 or above) are definitely positive.
So all is well. You are not infected with either HSV1 or HSV2 and needn't worry further about it.
