Herpes with no symptoms

Hey, and thanks for taking the time to answer this question.

I'll start by saying that I'm not sure what is wrong with me. After a particularly rough session of intercourse, a day or so later i was noticing some discomfort in my penis, namely around the bottom part of the shaft and the tip of my penis. I've always had a few small bumps around my penis, as well as infected follicules from time to time, but I never had burning (until i suffered from jock itch about 2 years ago.) I'm not really noticing any bumps, and it'd been 5 days. The discomfort usually just happens at night, except for a bout recently where I had some discomfort after ejaculation. It feels fine to urinate, and I have no other issues or side effects that I'm noticing. basically it's just burning every once in a while.

I guess what made me write all this was that my lady told me she had a giant headache today, when earlier that day she performed oral sex on me. I feel like I might just be worrying, but until i get tested, i'd like a quick opinion.

The only time I had unprotected sex was when it lasted for a few seconds, about 5 years ago. I've had unprotected oral sex however.

Thoughts?

Unprotected oral sex is a low risk activity.  Remember that not every encounter leads to infection.  That is something worth remember.

The symptoms don't really fit with HSV your discomfort could be from anything.  Including even stress or the fact you keep checking yourself.  My suggestion is be seen by your doctor to have them see whats going on.  If the last time you had unprotected oral sex was more then 16 weeks I would suggest getting a type specific IgG blood test done and that will show if you have HSV.  However, please remember if you have never had an IgG blood test and this shows positive you may have had the infection for a long time there is not a way to tell how long or the site you have it at.
