Herpes zoster possible after 4 weeks being exposed?

I had some big red rashes over the middle section of my back last week, and even though I had been having some bad acne around that area I immediately thought it could be herpes zoster causing that... The rashes were kind of painful to touch but they disappeared completely like a couple of days later. Is 4 weeks after a possible exposure enough time for that to show up? I keep looking for signs I've been infected until I can get tested at 6 weeks :( pls help

zoster isn't sexually transmitted. Zoster is shingles. This doesn't sound like shingles. Shingles tends to linger for longer than a few days and is rather painful,  not just painful to touch.

since your rash is gone, no way to figure out what causes it. It wasn't herpes simplex causing you those symptoms in that area.

should your rash reoccur, be seen promptly for an exam by a medical provider.
