Herpes

Need some more input and assurance.

Recently had mutual masterbation with another man 3 days ago. Although my hand never touched his genitals and then mine and he made no contact with my genitals. Some kissing was involved.so,last time I was tested I  was pos for hsv1 only but never had a cold sore that I can remember. This morning I have some itching coupled with burning right below my bottom lip. Looks like I could have some small hard to see blisters, not certain though. Could have I contracted hsv 2 by kissing? I understand last time I was advised that hsv2 could not be transmitted from a hj or such.

Also, I find myself wanting to have more of a sex life but I am always hesitant due to fear of std's... Can I get an std by kissing or giving oral to another man? Thanks once again

correct.  Extremely low risk here because you already have HSV 1, and him having HSV 2 orally is uncommon and it shed infrequently from the mouth, even if he had it.

So you are saying I had very little to no risk with the encounter I had. He never touched my genitals and I did not touch his and them mine. Only kissing. Thank you

So the activity that you describe is not a concern for getting herpes, no.  Period.  Getting an STD with kissing is very unlikely because you already have HSV 1 which is the most common STD transmitted via kissing.  If you give oral sex to someone, there is a small risk of acquiring an STD, yes.  And this could be HSV 2, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, the whole deal.  The throat and mouth are thin vulnerable skin like genital skin.  Having them put on a condom before giving oral sex would be hugely protective.  You could also ask a future partner to be tested for STD's and if they have none and are monogamous with you only, then STDs through oral sex is not an issue.

Is that what you are asking?
