Herpes

I just tested positive for an igg test of HSV-1 with an index of 8. I tested at 3.5 weeks. Is it posible to be a false positive??

Thats not unusual with long standing oral infections.

No I have never been tested before.. Never really had any symptomps

That number is to high to ba a false possitive. You've had hsv 1 for awhile. Have you ever been tested before?

Probably not, that's a little early for such a high index. You've probably had it longer than you've realized. Hsv1 is most commonly associated with coldsores on your mouth.

My wisdom tooth came out about the same time and it cause an infection. Is it posible that lead to a misdiagnosis?
