Herpes??

by phatty82, Jan 28, 2008 08:38PM
Well the day after i had rough sex with my bf i began itching a LOT! I went to the doctor/clinic.
She said it was bacterial vaginosis and that also my PH was way too high.
I had look at my genitals and I didn't see any sores and the doctor did make any comments of any when she was doing my pap smear. She gave me metronidzole to take for 7 days.
Well the day after that after itching again and went to get some vagisil to calm the itching. Now applying the vagisil with a mirror I saw one open cut on the bottom right labia menora. Which gets irritated when I pee. I am scared. This came on 3 days after having sex.
It doesnt hurt that much and it doesn't itch. Just feels like a abrasion. I have never had this on my vagina before.

Hmmmm, if it showed up 3 days later after sex and it has an itch, it very well may be herpes. You need to ASAP show this to your health care provider and let them look at it but make sure it is someone who knows herpes!! If it's the the family doctor, you may want to go to planned parenthood or your local STD clinic.

BV can cause a lot of dryness and itching you probably jut injured yourself from excessive scratching ...
Was the sex unprotected ?
Ask your boyfriend to get tested for herpes if you want to rule it out completely...

I think while the cut is stilll fresh it is imperative to rule out herpes now by letting a Dr. look at it.
