and was eating a lot of pineapple (which I understand is acidic), I also had swollen glands and was very tired. I thought I had sunstroke. Tiredness, muscle aches and swollen glands all seem to be symptoms of herpes.
I heard cankers can also be from stress, and it is exam time.
My boyfriend was tested a few months ago and did not have herpes.
Can you get just ONE canker if it is herpes, or do the sores always come in clusters?
Do the outbreaks have to be blisters?
Pineapple is a known trigger for canker sores. no reason to suspect what's going on in your mouth is anything other than canker sores which are not herpes and are not contagious.
Your provider who actually saw the two of you doesn't feel this is herpes.
If you've never been tested for herpes before, why don't the both of you get full std testing and ask for herpes blood tests so that you don't have to think herpes the next time things like this happen?
