Herpes

by nenemtz, Jun 09, 2009 01:18PM
I've been worried for the past week and a half.  It seems I have developed herpes (nose) not sure when,  and I think it has spread to my eye.  I rubbed my face and wear make up on a daily basis.  Should I see an optom. or  my med. doctor for this.  What could happen if in fact it has spread to my eye?  The symptoms I have is my eye burns and it feels like I have something on the inside of my eye lid, it burn a bit not too much.  On top of that last week when I noticed the sore on my nose I realized that the side of my nose up to my eye is very itchy and it feels like something is crawling on or inside my skin near my nose and up to the eye near my nose.  Is this a symptom also? My nose is very itchy but I don't see any sores.

Why try to self-diagnose?

Yes, untreated ocular herpes can be serious. BUT, you don't even know that's what it is.  See your medical provider and get a proper diagnosis.
