Herpeselect

I was tested for HSV I & II at exactly 6 weeks and 12 weeks (3 months) after potential exposure. Results were negative for both types.  This was the type specific herpeselect test.

I have been having periods of constant tingling (scrotum and the pubic region where the bladder is) and slight discomfort on and off.  Could the tingling/virbration feelings be a symptom of HSV II? I have also noticed slight red areas along the shaft but no blisters and no pain or itchiness associated with it.

Is it likely the test did not pick up the HSV II antibodies at the 12 week mark? Do you recommend getting retested at the 16 week mark? If the results are negative, does that mean for sure I don't have HSV I or II? Thanks!
