Herpetic Whitlow chances?

I have had HSV 2 for about 4 years now. I am always very careful with it. I don't get outbreaks that often, maybe once every 4-5 months, depends on my stress level. I am just getting over an outbreak right now, but I am worried about a sexual encounter that I had not too long ago. I never do anything sexually while having an active outbreak, but I felt like this situation was a very low risk one. My outbreak looks and feels healed, the lesion is no longer open, and the bump is significantly smaller, but still a bit there. My partner fingered me the other night, and I didn't notice any cuts on his hands, but I'm still very paranoid. Like I said, the lesion seems to be healed, and not open anymore, but there is still a tiny bump where the outbreak occured. What are the chances of him receiving herpetic whitlow from this action? How long does the virus last on your fingers before it's not a risk anymore. I hate the fact of living with this horrible virus, it always makes me so paranoid. Your help is much appreciated.
