How does herpes heal?

Hi, just a question. I was told by a doctor in the GUM clinic that herpes on the inner foreskin does not heal by just reducing in size and dissapearing! I was told that it forms some sort of scab! Is this true? I would really appreciate your help as this would ease my worry! Thanks for all your help and support!

Thanks grace! So what exactly would the healing process be inside the foreskin? There was no sort of scab whatsoever! Could you please describe to me how it would typically heal? Thanks so much for your help!

if you are looking for the same type of scab that you see on your knee for instance, you aren't going to see that on the mucous membranes of the genital area.  I believe you have another post going too right?  Just follow up in that post as needed as is requested in our read before posting post on this forum. keeps it simpler and let's us quickly glance over your situation before replying.

Are you sure there has to be these stages? Could it not form a scab and just heal softly? Thanks

Yes I understand there are stages to a herpes sore.  Should be real easy to find if you do a search.

As I understand it:
1)Prodome (tingling feeling)
2)fluid filled blister
3)blister breaks and scab forms
4)sore heals and scab falls off
