How long will HSV 1 take to show up?

Around two weeks ago i accidentally shared a water bottle with somebody who has the oral HSV1 herpes virus. I was wondering if somebody could tell me how long it takes for symptoms to make the virus known.

have you ever been tested to know your own herpes status?

as an adult, oral herpes is almost exclusively transmitted through romantic type kisses, not sharing food or drink.

if you had contracted oral herpes and were going to notice symptoms, they would occur within 2-20 days of infection.
