How much is HSV 1 dangerous?

I am male 33 and I have recently found out that I am HSV 1 positive. I know that this virus will rest in me  for all my life...The reason that I tested was that my partner developed oral herpes after performing oral sex on me. My doctor said that HSV 1 is not serious illness and she said that I had probably got it whlie I was child, which could be possible because both my parents have herpes. But i doubt that, beocause i was very sexually active in the past and fear I acquired HSV 1 through sex.
I would like to know shall I transmit the virus to my future wife and (because i am planning to get married) will I transmit the virus to the child?

You have an oral HSV1 infection from your youth and so does most probably does your partner who probably simply had an outbreak. You do not have HSV1 on your genitals and clearly neither does your partner. Some 50% of the population are infected with HSV1 before adulthood.

Transmission is possible to people such as spouses and children. Staying clear when an outbreak is present largely removes all transmission risk. Infection is still possible, but then again they will be exposed at some stage during their lives to the 4 billion people on the planet who carry the virus.

Like you though, if infected, they are likely to carry the virus without even knowing it or experience only minor inconveniences.

Hsv-1 is usually only transmitted through kissing or oral sex. If you were to transmit it to her the only way to do so would be through kissing however hsv-1 can be spread to genitals through oral sex. And as far as having children, people with hsv-1 can still have children without infecting their child. The only risk of passing herpes to a child is if the mother has genital herpes and gives birth vaginally. Other than that, just talk it over with her. If you're planning to marry it's necessary to discuss this with your future wife, and also just take precautions.

First your assuming she got it from giving you oral sex. Hav e you ever had a genital sore esp on your penis shaft?  Its is possible to contract hsv1 genital but for someone to have a blood test and come back positive for hsv1 its almost certainly oral esp if your number was over 5. She most likely had hsv1 oral from childhood. The only way to know for sure if to have a genital sore swabbed with in 48 hours after appearing. Other than that i stand by my comments.

I did simple blood test. I  tested for IgM and IgG . The first one came back negative and the second one positive which means that it will remain in my body for the rest of my life. The doctors told me that HSV 1 is mostly for oral herpes, but as I have told you, after my ex-partner performed oral sex on me she had oral infection which means that my penis is infected with virus, though I dont have visible sores or lesions on penis.
