How should it feel?

Tags: stinging, swollen, bumps, Itchy

Do herpes bumps usually sting? or feel slightly itchy? My bumps feel a bit itchy like I want to touch them but I don't because I know that they will not heal that way. The skin around the bumps is also swollen? Is this common with genital herpes? The bumps sometimes sting when they touch against themselves or touch against my skin. Please let me know, if you have herpes, what an outbreak usually feels like. Thank you.

another thing i'd like to add: how big are herpes bumps usually? my bumps are about 1/2 to 3/4 cm in diameter is this typical of herpes?
