Hpv bumps or too much masturbation

So I noticed a group of bumps on the shaft of penis on the right side. They are not painful and there about 16 that I can see all in one area all the same size and they don't seem to have spread. A quick google search will tell me I have genital warts real quick but I have some reservations about it, because I masturbate a lot. I don't do it as much with in the last few weeks but I before it was bit much imo.

Here is the full story from what I can remember

I lost my job about a year in and half ago and I'm having a hard time finding a new one so I'm home a alot. I get bored and I masturbate a lot, and when I do I do it for anywhere from 1-2hrs 3-4times in a week. At one point I had some sorness at the same point where my bumps are at and I even damaged the skin some it got a little red. I backed off from touching myself some but never completely stopped. Flash forward a bit and i'm masturbating and my member feels a bit different in my left hand than my right. I exam and I see those bumps I spoke of. They seemed to stay the same size or get a little bigger when I maintained my normal masturbating habits, but when I reduce my masturbation habits to once or twice a week and I make it quick and they seem to be getting smaller (just my observations). The bumps have been there for about a 4-5 months so far, an I have just recently changed my habits for them to get smaller.

I've been to the docotor but I could only see the physicaian assitant he thought they were herpes, but I was tested for that and other std's and came up negative for anything (yay!). I've made an appointment to see the dermatoligst  but that isn't for months and its looking like I won't have bumps anymore by the time i see him.

A brief sexual history of me: I've been with same girl for 4 years. We've practiced safe sex initally but not really anymore. The last girl I was with was for about a year and half before I met my current girlfriend we were together about a year.

I've spent hours on the interent researching what HPV bumps look like, and nothing really matches up with what I have, but then again the internet shows mostly the worst stuff.

So what do you guys think?
