If I haven't had a cold sore visable in ten years and have recenty had alot of stress four days ago I feel a weird tingling right above my lip. I look and in my mouth Unser my lip see a red spot. I have never taken any anti viral. I still have no visible signs a little tingling in that section. My question should I try a valtrex to try to stop this or if I come down which I have no more worrying could my body beat this again. I have a family now and can't afford another series of outbreaks

Thanks What is the turnaround time for the cold sore to raise his ugly head with the symptoms I have. Also, if we are going to have a new born soon should I be worried about contacting the baby. I read somewhere how they could be dangerous to babies
