Hi All,
The approximately the past two months I've had lingering burning and tingling of my lips.  I've had ghsv for the past decade so assumed I had it orally as well.  I went to the dermatologist and was prescribed Valtrex 1gm. But the symptoms did not subside.  I went to my primary care physician also and still no relief.  He suggested I take various supplements.  I have any gone and taken an HIV test which was negative. My primary says I'm healthy and can't explain to me why these symptoms won't go away.  I'm lost....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Prior to this beginning I never had a call sore.  But a month ago a raised bump did appear on my lip.  It never blistered or oozed.  My dermatologist said that's not abnormal.  Please give me some insight.

Thanks in advance

I agree with your Dr's on this. I seriously do not suspect this is hsv related.
