I am HSV-1 +. Can I spread it by kissing without ANY outbreaks?

I contracted the virus from my ex, We are no longer together. I have recently started to date again after 1 year since break up, I have known of my infection for about 2 and 1/2 yrs. now. I have never had a cold sore, any sore nothing I've read up on it alot, but Its still confusing. Ive been talking to a guy, we had been drinking, he kissed me and I thought nothing of it. After the next day he kissed me and things It was heavily on my mind. I told him. I'm just not sure how possible it is to spread from kissing?????



Any thoughts?
