By 6 weeks from infection, 70% of those who are going to make antibody (indicating infection) will have done so.

I just have one more follow up question... I still have some burning and itching going on so, I am not sure what is wrong. The bump doesn't really seem to change. My doctor is referring me to urologist, but I still feel like i have herpes. How long before I can get a IgG test to see if these symptoms are from a herpes infection? Is it like 6 or 8 weeks?
I think it is very unlikely that these bumps are caused by herpes, though of course, without testing it is not possible to know. It does, however, sound like you had a urethritis that was treated, and that's a good thing. If you have had other sexual partners in your lifetime, it is possible that you could be infected with herpes and not know it. If you want to know about past possible infection, an IgG antibody test could be run. It is too soon to test via antibody test for possible infection from this person. The bumps came up very early to be herpes, I think. The picking at them does make the picture more confusing, for sure, and you are certainly not the only person who has done that! Try to leave them alone and see what happens. If you get more, or these change dramatically, go back to your provider for a swab test of the bumps. Otherwise, you can pursue IgG testing for previous infection if you are still worried or curious.
