is about 10 of them, and is about 1/4 size of a dime (total affected area)
So it is really freaking me out, I don't feel any pain or discomfort yet, but it appears to be growing even in the last few hours... maybe i am just freaking out, but this is pretty scary! I did have unprotected sex
about 6 months ago, and although I know nothing of her history, she visually appeared clean... I have never had any thing like this before, so I am wondering what it is! I have been checking out photos, and the closes it seems to resemble is some of the different Herpes photos, that would suck, any way to get this outbreak to dissapear? Any ointments? I don't have insurance, so if I go to the doctor I will prob. just go to the emergency
room, which would be NOT what i want to do... but, this is my penis, any thoughts???
They look just like fever blisters/ or water blisters... if they pop, will it spread??? they seem to be getting ready to pop... and the area is all a bit more red color than the rest of my skin....
I am pretty sure that these just appeared today, I don't remember them yesterday, or even this morning in the shower....
I also had a very stressful day yesterday, and today was a bit more mellow, but mentally I have been super stressed lately & yesterday was the climax of it all... just wondering if this stress could have caused this incident? Do fever blisters ever show up on the penis?
They are a distinct pink color & are definitely filled with a fluid... I could pop them easily...
Unprotected sex carries the risk of contracting an STD unfortunately with Herpes it can show symptoms in a few days or it can be months even years in some cases, the arrival of a cluster of blisters on your penis seems a bit suspect although in saying that I would have thought if it were Herpes it would be giving some sort of discomfort,it would be advisable to get tested to be sure of exactly whats going on there, don't look at pictures on the Internet as they always show the worst case scenarios ....
IF it is Herpes it will go in it's own time which is usually a week but it varies from person to person.....
I am not saying you have Herpes but I would strongly advise having a culture swab taken from the blisters while they are there that way you will get a definate diagnosis pretty quickly.
waiting a week is too late for answers about what is going on now. If you want fast answers it's best to be seen at a walk in clinic saturday.
Since it's been 6 months since you last had sex you can get a type specific herpes igg blood test if you want to just ride this out and follow up next week with your regular doctor.
The blisters will pop on their own - no need to worry about spreading if they are popping on their own. Just don't pick at them.
What do you think this is??? They are def. blisters, very similar to fever blisters... is this a type of Herpes??? Could I of had it for many years and this is the first "outbreak"???
There is simply no way any of us on here can tell you for sure what you have we can only advise you on what we think you need to do judging by the description of the symptoms you give, clusters of blisters and localised itch are very typical of Herpes which is why you are being advised to be seen at a Clinic asap while you still have the blisters and a culture swab can be taken from them for anaysis of what this may be.
So only 16 hours since I noticed these... and now, when I woke up, it seems to be in a different stage... the area is very dark red, and some "scabbing" has formed, and it seems a bit "raw"... I no there is no way anyone can tell me for sure what this is, I will get to a doctor and be tested, just in the meantime I REALLY appreciate any comments, sounds like this is herpes, but maybe just strange fever blisters??? I have had fever blisters on my face before from a really bad airplane ride (of all things) from being so sick & loosing so much fluids... not that I have experienced anything dramatic lately, except for stress, but the closest thing this little blister cluster represents is those fever blisters.... I really hope it is not herpes, even though 6 months has passed since unprotected sex, which I really checked her out & did not see any sign of infection or disease,... I also grew up with a kid that had genital herpes & was always paranoid that he may of contaminated somethiing I might of handled... that was 15 years ago though....
Is it ok to put Neosporin on the affected area??? It is pretty raw now, the blisters have morphed into a raw, kinda moist area that is definetily starting to scab up.... I can now feel it constantly itching & tingling (maybe just cause my mind wont leave it alone)
Can I put neosporin on it to help heal, sooth.... any suggestions? This *****~
Please get tested as soon as you can, time scales don't mean a thing as far as Herpes is concerned whether it be 6 days, weeks, months or years, also stress can cause a Herpes outbreak, saying you really checked her out makes no difference either people with Herpes look no different to anyone else,at the end of the day it's little more than a skin condition that just happens to be conracted via sex, also growing up with someone with Genital Herpes would in no way have caused you to have the condition it can only be transmitted via vaginal or oral sex not by any other means.
Getting tested is the only way you can know for sure....
