I don't get it?

by whymee, Sep 11, 2008 10:05PM
I tested positive for genital herpes with a reading of 4. something in Feb. 2007. In September 2008 I went back to the Dr. office because i was getting bumps that did not blister or crust over and when i did get a blister it was the size of a dime and I was always having a cottage cheese like discharge. When the Dr. saw the blister she said it did not look like herpes and gave me another test. This time the test came back with a reading of 3.5. Should I get tested again? Im confused.

Both results are +. No reason to retest.

If your provider wanted to know if that particular blister was due to herpes - they should've done a lesion culture on it, not a blood test.
