I feel Waves/somthing crawling underneath my skin on my face, usually on the left side

by safeknowing1233, Oct 07, 2009 02:52PM
Im a healthy 20 year old male. I have wave like symptoms underneath my skin. It's on my facial skin between my left eye and temple. It comes and go's it feels like somthing is crawling underneath my skin. I have Genital herpes and dont know if i have 1 or 2 and i also dont know if i have oral herpes or not. Im scared that this symptom or should i say case of skin problem is oral herpes. The last time i had sex and kissed a girl was 1 year ago. Im not gay iv been single for a while. Please let me know from the best of your knowledge what this could/might be? And what medication i should take for this cause.

And 1 more thing. If im taking one of the following medication for my genital herpes: Acyclovir (Zovirax), famciclovir (Famvir), or valacyclovir (Valtrex). On a daily basis, even without having an outbreak or anything. Can i have unprotected sex without transmitting it? Because it would be REAAALLLY nice if i can. :) thank you

the risk of you transmitting hsv2 to your partner is rather low over all. if all you did was avoid sex anytime you had obvious genital symptoms, your female partner has about a 90-92% risk of NOT contracting hsv2 from you each year. If you take daily suppressive therapy with valtrex ( the only herpes antiviral studied for this so far ), you cut her risk in half. throw in condoms too and she's got a 92-93% chance each year of NOT contracting hsv2 from you. You'll never get it down to 0 risk but it's pretty darn low in general with minimal precautions.

You need to have your doctor evaluate these crawling sensations on your face. they aren't likely due to herpes.
