I need an opinion grace

first of all, grace I have read many responses by you and you are very very helpful. I am female, and here is my problem.. I am haunted by a one time VERY brief sexual encounter which was september of last year. It was unprotected, and he inserted his penis for maybe like a minute if that until I realized it was stupid and I stopped him.  After this encounter, I resumed my relationship with an ex boyfriend who is the only other perosn i have been with and he has only been with me.  
Now, here is my problem, I have been on amoxycillin for a week.. and I noticed some itching and issues down there.  I looked with a mirror, and noticed i didnt have any discharge per say, but when I opened up my vagina to see in a bit there was a white coating lining the inside of my vagina . there was also white clumping build up under my clitoral hood, which when whiped away would just come back within a couple hours.  Seems pretty yeasty, but I had never had a yeast infection before and didnt want to self diagnose.  I left it for a couple days and noticed my vagina became sore, my labia dry, and then I had some what looked like vaginal tears.  This is where I am afraid it is herpes, I would get one tear then it would be healed by the next day, then get another tear somewhere else which would heal by the next day (mostly different areas between my inner and outer labia as well as my perianal area).
So here is where the paranoia steps in.. I heard yeast infections can be confused with HERPES (AHH) and TRICH(once agian.ahh).  
Last year I was tested for Chlam, Gon, HIV and syphilis all of which were negative.  I cannot get an HSV blood test unless I pay for it (in Canada). also had a normal pap. I went to the doctor today (after being in pain while passing urine as it burned when it went over the tears).  She said its very unlikely to be herpes,but took a swab anyways just for my own anxiety. and she did a vaginal culture for Trich/BV/yeast.  
Now awaiting my results I am driving myself crazy with anxiety.
So I guess my questions would be:
am I at high risk for herpes and does this sound at all like herpes?? or even trich for that matter? I havent had any abnormal discharge that I have noticed..

Don't underestimate what a fungal infection can do to you :(

At this point it's just waiting and seeing. I know it's hard but hang in there.  I assume they gave you yeast medication too ?

She actually didnt, because I got my period and she said that yeast typically clears up on periods because of the pH.  Does this sound like yeast though not herpes?? I dont know if its common for herpes to manifest itself as "cuts" instead of as bumps/blisters. It also seems to be healing faster than I read about most herpes.. also the timing, i am assuming almost a year later it would be a recurrence not an initial outbreak but I dont remember ever having an "initial" outbreak. Do you think one time BRIEF unprotected sex is a high risk?... I am worrying myself sick, but not really for me..I could deal with it I think, its the BF..i dont want to have to tell him (he doesnt know about the encounter) and it would ruin my relationship.

Actually getting your period more often than not allows the yeast to overgrow even more :(   Can you buy yeast treatments otc in canada?

Protected sex even only reduces the risk by 1/2 so even if every other time you have had sex it's been protected, doesn't mean you didn't pick up genital herpes along the way somewhere.  

At this point just wait and see what your culture shows and then discuss with your provider if it's worth paying out of pocket for a type specific herpes igg blood test or not.

every other time I had sex it has been with someone who has never been with anyone but me. So the only risk here is my one time exposure..which I am getting even more paranoid about by the second:( even though it was almost a year ago.

oh and yes I can get yeast treatment over the counter.. but I remember reading a post by HHH that yeast often disappears while on periods.. but my doc did say I can do the yeast treatment while on my period if I choose to
