I think I may have herpes

I have been with my partner for about 3 years now we recently have been having unprotected sex and the about a week after i discovered 2 red spots on the head of my penis now my partner dosent show any signs of herpes so they dont dont think it was from them do u think it might be herpes or not

Have either of you ever been tested? Whether or not that's what these spots are, it is worth the peace-of-mind for both of you to both get tested and know your status.

Are the spots like blisters or lesions? Any fluids?
