IGG test negative after 12 weeks. Should I retest?

Hello Everyone,
I have had symptoms after having an unprotected one night stand 3 months ago that could suggest herpes. I haven't had any lesions or sores, just a rash on the right side of my labia majora that itches pretty much every day since the  sexual encounter. I also have a constant low grade fever of 99.1, but could have had this prior to one night stand. I have a white discharge and pain in my lower right side - almost like it's my ovary. I have been tested for UTIs, yeast infections, and the basic stds as well as HIV.
Last week marked 12 weeks, so I went and had the IGG test done. It came back negative for both HSV1 and HSV2. My question, should I trust this result and move forward on trying to diagnose my problem? You would think after 3 months of constant problems that my system would start developing antibodies against herpes. Am I right? I don't have  health insurance so all I have is low cost clinics who tell me that they can't help me with my problem. I am losing my mind.

At this point the best thing to do is to continue going to your gyn monthly if need be to try to figure out what is going on. They should be testing you for yeast and bacterial infections at every appointment.  If they think that any new lesions look like herpes, they can do a lesion culture on them but odds are that this isn't due to herpes.

I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped, I noticed blood on the toilet paper. There is no way I am near my period either, I am on the bc pill for another week. I am freaking out now.

herpes symptoms are not continuous like the ones you report, though they can present themselves in various ways.  12 to 16 weeks is the recommended time to wait by all experts (including the ones on medhelp) using an igg test, and I presume they would tell you that around >90% test positive by then IF they indeed are infected. However, with atypical symptoms and a 12 week neg test, you should feel very good and certain you did not contract hsv of any sort. However, wait for the moderator for reassurance, she is the one who you want to hear from.
