IGM test

I was diagnosed positive with IGM. Does this mean that this is my initiall herpes outbreak? How reliable is this?

Thanks..i already did and my igg came positive too. I just would like to know if having an IGM positive result means it is certainly i just got herpes recently.

IgM is not a reliable test for herpes - disregard it. What were the IgG type/numeric results?

Your igg is +.  We will gladly look at it to see if you need additional testing done if you post the results here. All we need to see if hsv1 igg 4.4 and hsv2 igg 2.3 or whatever the results are - no need to type anything else.

It has benn 9 years since I last engaged in any sexual activity. Irecently took a igg and igm test. The Igg came back negative. But the igm for hsv2 came back positive with an index of 1.63. is this accurate.
