I've read that the IgG is only 90% accurate and it produces a false negative for every 1 out of 10 people. What I'm curious about is whether for those 1 out of 10 people the test completely misses all the IgG in a person's system or if it just misses 10% of IgG in a person's system. For example, if someone scores a 0.06 on the IgG after four months of possible contraction
1 or should only people who score maybe between .6-.89 be concerned that the test did not detect those remaining few antibodies to conclude that the person is positive for HSV-1?
At the beginning of June I plan on getting retested for HSV1 and HSV2 using the IgG test since it will be more than four months since I was possibly exposed to herpes. The thing is that since the date that I last had sex
, the entire time. I've taken different medications and it will not go away. Do you think that because I've had the bv for so long it will mess with the IgG results because I know that IgG antibodies develop after you've had an infection for a long time?
Also, twice last week I felt a sear of pain on the left side of my vagina and then yesterday the left side felt kind of tender for a few seconds every couple of minutes for maybe about an hour. Do you have any idea what that could be? Thank you.
bv will cause you pain sometimes. I hate bv far more than I could ever hate my herpes!!
I've had good luck warding off bv with femdophilus by jarrow. I buy it online fairly cheaply. just store it in the fridge once you get it. Take it 2x/day until the bv has been away for awhile and then go down to once daily to keep it away longer. It's what finally helped me get rid of a pesky bv issue! also sometimes, taking oral and vaginal
flagyl at the same time is helpful for getting rid of a pesky bv infection too. might be worth suggesting to your provider next time you go to see if you have bv again or not.
