IgG vs. IgG

I recently had test done involving all std's. Everything came back as non-reactive, but the HSV 1 and 2. The results were as followed:
HSV IgM AB not detected
HSV1 IgG Type 3.62H
HSV 2 IgG Type 5.00H

My question is does this mean that I am infected with the virus? I have been celibate for the past two years and before that I was only with my husband. When I questioned my Dr. about this, he gave me two different answers. I really need to know what this means so that I can be at peace within myself.

your hsv2 is +

your hsv2 igg is over the normal false positive range so odds are you really do have them both.

Thank you much for responding. So this is a accurate positive then?Should I be retested to be sure that it is accurate reading? How can I find out how long I've had it? I've never had any symptoms so this is a real shocker to me. So what can I do to insure that my mate does'nt contract it? or is there not a suppressor for it? In this case, oral sex is not permissible without it being transmitted?

no way to know how long you've had it. has your partner been tested yet to know their status?

you can have oral sex, vaginal sex, anal sex, sex on the porch, sex on a sex swing or anything else you want with herpes !

Since the reading of the HSV 2 IgG is 5.00 H, will I have to take medication for it? What is the stage of this?
