I'm freaking out, what are my odds of having herpes?

I had unprotected oral sex and protected sex in the missionary position about 9 days before symptoms appeared. I rinsed my genitals and abdomen off after sex. My symptoms started as an itching on my penis head, and an urge to pee a lot. I have not noticed any discharge, or any unusual marks. i went to the doctor and he prescribed some Hydrozole cream, and I have had a urine test done (I get the results in two days). He thinks it's probably a fungal infection (I told him how my penis head sometimes does a turtle action and almost sucks into my body, which then makes it so the tip rubs on the front of my boxers or pants). Since then I have had itching on my anus, and the occasional itch in the crevice between my scrotum and leg.

If I have contracted herpes even though I used a condom, it would most likely would have been skin to skin contact on my scrotum and pelvis area. Should that also be the first place symptoms appear? I'm hoping that since I wore a condom, and my itching pain was around my penis head a could days before I felt anything else itching it's not herpes, but I am freaking out. Should I just chill out and stop stressing? Maybe I shouldn't have googled penis itch. I am married and am terrified that I might have passed this to my wife.

I would relax a bit. Yes most every primary outbreak will happen at the spot of infection. The oral sex was a very small risk for hsv1 and your protected single Intercourse exposure was even smaller. I highly doubt herpes is the cause of your discomfort. Having symptoms or a primary outbreak without obvious lesions is not realistic at all. I know a well known std and herpes expert who has only witnesses 3 such cases in over 30 years in a very busy std clinic. This includes all of her studies and research.
