Immunity etc

Immunity etc

Please ignore my earlier post...
I was diagnosed 3 months ago with HSV2 during major emotional and physical stress. My girlfriend of several years’ Immunology report reads:
HERPES TYPE 1 IgG- SERUM           POSITIVE  (mine Negative)
HERPES TYPE 2 IgG- SERUM           POSITIVE   (mine Positive)
HERPES TYPE 1+2 IgM Ab- SERUM   NEGATIVE (mine Positive
The doc said she’s been exposed to both-her ex husband has type 1- but she neither has it or is a carrier and seems to be immune. Is this possible?  The doc didn’t seem to know about herpes. He thought it would be ok to use a condom only when symptoms presented themselves. He had not heard of asymptomatic shedding.
We would like to ditch the condoms but I can’t take that risk without some answers. I’ve also read that oral sex- because of the site specificity of HSV 2 is most probably ok. Is this true?
I’m 45, been a serial monogamist. My most recent ex tested negative on all counts. I’ve only had a mild primary occurrence.

I was given antibiotics for a secondary bacterial infection. I had some varicose looking veins and small lumps under the skin- not near blisters- which took until now to disappear. I still have a slight burning sensation from time to time, either urinating (normally in the morning) or ejaculating.

I read on this forum and elsewhere that the tests we had are not reliable. What test is, seeing that neither of us present any symptoms?
