Can someone help. I have had a small raised red bump and red penisCancer - penis Curvature of the penis Penis care (uncircumcised) Penis pain tip now for 7 weeks. Had igg test done
at 6 weeks and was negative. Then a igm done at 10 weeks. It seems that is backwards according to what I've been told. However igm was negative too.
These don't look like the herpes pictures online but I have read that it can still just be a red patchAllergy testing Skin color - patchy.
I am very concerned as I have been separated with my wife for over 3 years and she is now kinda talking to me and I want so bad to get back with her and my 2 small children.
question: do some people have a very slow immune response to this that is why tests are negative and is there an end in sight.
I have read here that if it is this long it is definately not herpes. but I have seen other blogs that it could be longer.
any insight would help. and any additional help.thanks
also the symptoms appeared like 7 weeks after encounter........
thanks
This doesn't sound like it's a herpes lesion going on.
At this point continue following up with your provider to try to figure out what is causing your symptoms.
If you had the igg test done 12 weeks or so after the encounter you are worried about, then it's one more reason why it's not likely this is due to herpes.
thanks for your quick response. the Igm was done at 10 weeks the igg was at only 6. I know the igm is totally worthless but it being negative should that give me a little pease of mind.
what causese bumps on you face lips if not herpes simplex?
all sorts of things can cause bumps on the body. Herpes really isn't the only germ out there that can infect us.
You said symptoms appeared 7 weeks after the encounter. So you had had testing at 6 weeks after the encounter prior to any symptoms?
You need to be careful with what you read. Some of it is not even remotely based on fact and just adds to paranoia! For the vast majority of people who have genital herpes, anything you read here by Terri Warren, Hunter Handsfield, Ned Hook, Aunt jessi and myself is going to be true. There are exceptions but for most folks what we say applies.
Grace that makes me feel so much better. I got that a bit off. I had symptoms at like 7 weeks and testing at 8 weeks for igg and igm at 10 weeks. Does the negative igm give any sign i'm not infected?
Thanks you so much for this forum and the people on here that are experts.
