Hi, I recently received my IGG test results back. Its been quite a few months (probably 7) since the exposure with a person with unknown hsv status (and a condomCondoms Female condoms was used). I was positive for HSV1 even though I have never had a cold sore, and they said the HSV2 result was 'inconclusive' with a value of 2.0. The doctor said she thinks this is a false positive. If I were truly positive then would the values be higher than 2.0 seven months after the encounter? Is there a good chance this is a false positive? Thanks in advanceAdvance care plus Advance relief for any advice...
At this point your result is a positive result but it' s on the low side. You need to confirm it with additional testing like a herpes WB blood test.
