Incubation Period for Herpes

I just a sexual encounter and it involved unprotected oral sex (fellatio). The actual encounter did not last long. My question is: How long should I wait before I get tested for Herpes (and other STDs). What is the incubation period generally. I am really concerned about Herpes b/c I know that it is not treatable.

They say to wait 4 months before you test. However, studies ahve shown that around 80% of healthy individuals will serconvert (produce detecable antibodies) by 6-8weeks. If you have no outbreaks i wouldnt stress to much. If u do get it swabbed so then u dont have to wait to seroconvert
