Indeterminate/unsymptomatic but worried

3 years ago I found what I thot was a small lesion on side of my penis, but not really a blister or runny.

I was tested and it came back positive, doc put me on antiviral for 2 weeks.  This small spot disappeared.

I stopped antiviral and have been tested yearly with a negative result (two negs).  I've never had a repeat issue with any similar lesion or soreness.   Do I keep getting tested?   Should I consider the first test a false positive?

IgG results today.  Doctor says I should re-test (again!) in 3 months.  Result 1:12.  Flag for positive 1:10

I've been very careful the last several months, I know there is nothing 100% safe.   I will continue diligence and retest.

Did you have a PCR swab of the actual lesion? If so, that would be conclusive. Was it for type 1 or type 2?

If your IGG is still showing a negative this amount of time after with no antivirals that would be unusual, but not unheard of.

There are people who fail to show positive on a blood test but have had positive swabs. If your swab is positive I would deem you positive for the virus, just unsure of the type?

What tests did you have and what were the results? You are looking for IgG antibody tests type specific.
