Ingrown hair or STD?

The other day I found a little bump smaller that a pea, as other people would say, on my labia area. I haven't had sex in about 3 months, but I know STDs develop late. The bump is a little bit itchy and it hurts. I've been worried that it's an STD but I talked to a friend about it and she said it just sounds like an ingrown hair, because she's had one before. I'm not sure because I've never had anything like this before. I tried to pop it because it looks like a pimple but it hurt to bad and I couldn't do it. I hope it's just an ingrown hair and not an STD. What do you think it sounds like?

Hey I believe you may have to get it checked to b sure....Many factors are involved in whether r not it is herpes...When in doubt, check it out. Just be as calm as possible no matter what you find out it is, if it's anything but an ingrown hair. I'v had genital herpes 14yrs. Pls post what you find, I wish you luck.
