Ingrown hair vs herpes?

Ingrown hair vs herpes?

I'm a 22 year old female.  I entered into a relationship a couple months ago and thus have been shaving my pubic region more often than usual (weekly or biweekly) when I hardly ever used to before.  A couple weeks ago, I noticed several white bumps with redness in my pubic region (it's not on the labia, more on the area over the pelvic bone that's covered with hair).  When I try to pop these, they bleed like a pimple and usually scab over.  I haven't seen any pus come out, just blood.  After I pop it, it kind of looks like a crater?  I can't find an ingrown hair, but could it be that it's deep enough that I can't see it?  I'm trying not to freak myself out that it's something more serious, but I would like a second opinion and I don't know where to go in my city.
I would really appreciate any responses!
Thank you!

this sounds more like folliculitis than it does herpes. go and be seen monday and get a proper exam done so they can prescribe treatment.

you should be avoiding sex with your partner until the rash is gone. also do not shave either until it's all gone.

did you and your partner have full std testing that included type specific herpes igg blood testing before you started having sex together?
