Okay, so I went for the Focus herpes inhibition assay. I can't really afford the WB right now, and I can't really wait that long after all this waiting. We're pretty much at the 6 month mark at this point. You know my Herpeselect tests have been coming back negative, but my symptoms are persisting despite my dermatologist's treatment. I want to trust her non-herpes diagnosis, but I also know visual
So here's my question: If the Focus Inhibition Assay (17170) comes back negative at this point, is there a margin for error, or can I safely assume that I have one of the other bizarre skin conditions my dermatologist and I have discussed...and not herpes?
My doctors are not up to speed on testing, so I can't ask anyone else. Please just let me know. I can't stand being in the dark like this with doctors not knowing how to advise me. Sorry for pestering. I'm just so over the stress of this situation. I want to feel better already. Thank you.
Please, can someone please answer my question. I don't have any other resource to turn to right now, and I don't know whether what I'm doing is going to get me an answer to my health problem. I'm trying my best, but I feel like I'm just shooting in the dark. Please help!
