Is This A Coldsore????

Ok, I get one tiny "pimple' on my upper lip (at the boarder of the lip and facial skin) that appears at the same exact spot two or three times an year. It's extremely painful and very difficult to pop. When I do pop it the area remains red and very painful for about 5 days before fading away. I've had pimples in other areas before and none of them ever felt like this one does. There is no crusting, ulcerations or nasty swelling like those seen on the internet. Can one safely assume that this is a true, legitimate cold sore? I hope so because I willingly got into a relationship with a woman who told me upfront that she was HSV1 positive based on my self diagnosis.

At this point you need proper medical evaluation to find out what is going on. No way we can help you really accurately online.  Your very first post 2 weeks ago says that you've had hsv1 orally for 7 years now. If you doubt that you really do have it, go and be seen and get proper testing done.
