Is false positive a false hope?

I just got the results of my HSV-2 IgL of 1.2 (positive > 1) and lgM results of 0.9. I think I can safely assume that the lgM testing based on the posts I read that suggest are basically inaccurate. The OB/GYN states the results as positive but did not do a HSV-1. Is there any chance, if only a small one that the results are false positive or am i wishing for a miracle?

I never had any outbreak or symptom for the past five years and am not active since then. Should I redo the HSV-2 and HSV-1 to verify in three weeks time or should I do the biokit test? Please advise me. I am so lost and sad.

It's very unlikely that it's a true positive but it could be.  It can be up to 50% of all results under 3.5 are falsely positive in some populations unfortunately.  Confirm your results for peace of mind but I wouldn't worry too much about it.  I know - easier said than done.
