Is it Herpes?

Is it Herpes?

Like others on here, I have recently developed symptoms that worry me and am worried whether it sounds like Herpes.
I've a male who has never had sexual intercourse nor have I performed oral sex on a partner. However, I have received oral sex several times. My current concern arose because of a girl who performed oral sex on me on several occasions over the past few weeks. I noticed a red bump or two on the right side of her chin and another tiny one on the left side (not really all that close to her lips though). Soon after, I developed about 3 bumps near each other my in the area close to the rectal area but right outside. It's obviously kind of hard to inspect, but it looks like tiny whitish pimples surrounded by red. Also, I do have IBS and sometimes go to the restroom somewhat often, so i use baby wipes and around this same time, i became itchy in areas near the bumps and caused the areas to be red and even more itchy perhaps from wiping alot, except that the area became very irritated and painful with slight abrasions which i'm not sure are from the wiping or herpes. There were no apaprent bumps in that red irritated are.

Does this sound like Herpes to you? I've red conflicting reports on whether HSV-2 can be spread by oral contact with the genitals (some seem to say i's rare to ever even have an HSV-2 oral recurrence to begin with). And I'm guessing that since I've often had "pimples" at the edge of my lips throughout my life (and have kissed many women) that i probably already had the HSV-1 antobodies, which supposedly protects agasint HSV-1 genital infection.

Lastly, how common is it to develop a Herpes outbreak in the anal area when the only contact made was with a women's mouth and my penis? What determined whether an outbreak occurs on the penis or anus? This woman ONLY made contact with my penis. If the outbreak near my anus IS herpes, how likely is it that future outbreaks to occur on my penis itself?

Thank you for you help. I'm obviously concerned about all of this.

Note: I should mention, that I also developed a relatively large bump on my chin area at around the same time this all happened! I'm worried she actually may have exposed me to 2 places at once....we obviously did kiss as well.

Interesting. Sounds like you have a lot of misinformation. You can't assume you have HSV1 because you kissed around a lot. You either have it or you don't and the only way to be sure is to get tested! It isn't likely you got HSV2 from oral sex since this is very rare. I am leaning toward this all being pimples and just ordinary young people skin irritations from acne. If you were negative for HSV and she gave it to you, the initial outbreak comes out at the site where the infection occured and then recurrents happen pretty much in the area of initial infection but not the exact spot. This rectal bump seems unlikely to be herpes.

today i was able to get a better look at my anal area using a mirror and notice that i do indeed have 4 or 5 little pimple like, whitish/***** looking growths in around the same one inch area. i scheduled an appointment with my dr for tomorrow but am now terrified and convinced that this HAS To be herpes. although i get zits, this just seems different. and 4 is too many to be folliculitus (folliculitis) in the same area.

i just dont get it. if all i did was receive oral sex on my penis, how could i develope herpes on my anal area. is there any hope that its not herpes? i've never even had sexual intercourse! and no sex organ or mouth has ever gone near my anus. how could this happen? and could it now spread to my penis in a future outbreak? i'm really, really worried. 4-5 puss looking tiny zits in an area near the anus just has to be herpes, esp sp close after having received oral sex on my penis.

please tell me what you think

It's not going to be herpes.... I bet the Dr. won't even do testing..

believe it or not tapeworms . they lay eggs in cycles that try to make there way out , it can cause anal itching small bumps and random cysts nearly anywhere inside the body.

So I went to my Dr. and he looked at the lesions. Problem was that they were starting to heal already so he could not say with definity that it was herpes. He said it could be herpes, but it did not look like "typical" herpes because he said that although the 4 healing whitish scabs were very very close to one another, they were not literally touching each other in the more typical herpes fashion. so he took a culture and the herpes blood test and I will know on monday. he said that the culture might be a false negative because of the late timing of the swab, but that the blood tests would be pretty telling.

he also said a few VERY interesting things that in some cases run completely contrary to things i've read on these boards and on other internet sites:

1. he said that there's no way i got herpes from oral sex JUST on my penis. he said that herpes occurs in the area of contact and that unless the girl literally touched a cold sore and then touched my anus (she did not touch my anus in any way whatsoever), this could not happen. so he said that IF what i have is herpes, it could not have been from oral sex on my penis. on this site, many have said that herpes can be contracted in any area below the waits and then appear in any other area "below the waist" including anus. He said this was just not true.

2. Fascinatingly, he also said that IF what I have on my anus IS herpes that i COULD NOT transmit it to someone performing oral sex just on my penis. he said herpes is strictly a CONTACT disease, and that it actually would be safe for someone giving me oral sex if lesions are only on my anus and not penis. This is also contrary to what people on these boards have said-- that herpes sheds from the penis fluids even if you only have anal herpes.

3. he said  herpes DOES NOT "migrate" even WITHIN the "below the waist" area. in other words, contrary to what many on here have said...if you get herpes outbreaks on your anal area, it willl NOT ever recur on your penis. you would have to contract (auti-innoculate or from another person) herpes on your penis for it to occur there. some on these boards have suggested that their reccurrences have occured in totaly different areas. he said this is not true.

4. many on here have said that if you have oral hsv-1, you are immune to contracting hsv-1 genitally. he said this is not so. that although SOME immunity exists, it is not by any means fully protective. he said that you can auoto-innoculate yourself or contract hsv-1 from someone else in your genital region if they have it and contact you there even if you already get cold sores.

Interesting stuff and am curious what you guys have heard on all these subjects and whether you agree with all this.

I am feeilng better about things because even if i test positive for anal herpes, it sounds like i can still have sex with future partners because this will not affect my penis. i just have to make sure they do not contact my anal area (which is an area that is unexposed anyway and is not usually touched).

What do you guys think. and by the way--- SLACKER-- why do you say that what i described above is NOT herpes? it sure looked like it to me. 4 whitish blisterlike things in the same area of my anus? it looked quite suspicious. pretty unlikely to get 4 zits in one spot like that no?

Thanks!
