Is it herpes or what!! sending me crazy
Ok so i had an encounter about 14 weeks about with a girl and the condom had split during intercourse. I was worried to death that it was hiv and was getting so much symptoms but alot were most probably due to anxiety and stress. What i'm most concerned about is the swollen glands i've had which came 2 weeks after the encounter and still slightly swollen today (in the neck). My uretha is also abit swollen and i also had gotten thrush from this girl which recurred 2 or 3 times. I've also been feeling this itchy sort of feeling which feels like ants crawling on me. It hasn't just been in the groin but all over my body it';s very annoying and creepy. I sometimes feel a dull ache in the testicles and minor stinging like pains in the uretha but theyre faint and arent continuous but the only thing is i DONT have any lesions/???? could this be herpes without showing??????? i've had numerous tests over the 3 months as i was 100% convinced i had hiv and have tested out to 3 months being negative, i've also had std tests and out to 3months all negative but i can't get herpes test as they don't do it without any lesions can you please help me :(

Well. I'm from kuwait,but, studying in the UK. I wanted to have hereps blood test. However, GUM clinic in the city i live in dont offer it since they think it is not reliable.They told me that they only do swap test for genital lesions, which they did and came up negative. I'm pretty sure that what i have is herpes.

also can you pleasseee help me on what to do!!!! i;m stuck with genital symptoms throbbing, sharp stinging, shooting pains and NO HELP WHATSOEVER from my gp or gum. they even try tell me there is no such thing as a blood test ;/ what steps can i take from here to get a correct diagnosis !!!!!! i cant just let it slide knowing i have some sort of infection and discomfort without exactly knowing what it is

have that too, and petal i understand but i CANNOT get a blood test. there is no place here that offers them. went to my gp she refuses unless i have sores and even if i had sores it'd be a culture she'd be offering first. so i'm stuck. i do not need to see a phsyciatrist although i am due to me getting fed up with not knowing what it is. i come on here which such questions, why? because my gp offers no help so where else do i find such info? except she tells me it is not herpes but i was perfectly healthy before this encounter and now after i am experiencing whole body symptoms and the newest is a throbbing ache in the testicles. anxiety? i dont think so. could you please answer this question for me though?

Let me help you out here a bit, worried_death, as grace actually deserves a break now and again.

As to my thoughts, I'd say you really need to consider speaking to a counselor or therapist for very obvious reasons here. And, I take exception to the fact that anyone, especially grace, has to spend one more iota of time at this point on your continual paranoia, and the fact that you've not listened to a word of what grace has suggested.

Herpes doesn't cause symptoms like this. Perhaps you have recently contracted a different viral infection or something? Could even be a bacterial infection on the facial area too.
I can not help you if everyone is writing you off as anxiety. they are actually seeing your symptoms and should be doing a full physical on you as well as basic testing. If they aren't, that's an issue you have to take up with the clinic manager.

no i seem to have an increased appetite sometimes i feel like i have nausea then other times i'll get severely hungry even not long after eating. and yes i did lose interest in sex for quite a while but i seem to now want sex yet i'm worried of spreading "(if herpes) to other people. where are you from? and have or are you going for a blood test?

I never kissed her, i had sex from behind which was roughly 5-10minutes. That's all i get from my doctor aswell blaming it on anxiety. Doctors only have a limited about of knowledge about herpes and would only diagnose you with it if you had blisters but just remember the majority of people don't even get blisters. Right now i have a banging headache which also comes with a whole range of over symptoms, why? i do not know. i never got these before? before i was healthy, energetic, most probably hadn't even had a headache in years. I think not enough research is put into herpes and the fact that everywhere i go whether internet, doctors or wherever all say herpes does not do this is lies. It is a coincidence how just a few days after the encounter i feel unwell and has just got worse up until now and has not gone. If it was the flu or anything else i'd think the maximum it would last for is 1 - 2 weeks not 4months or more and also the unusual feeling in the genitals wouldn't be caused by flu. You would think maybe it was another sti such as chlamydia or ghonnorea but having negative results in them and every other infection apart from herpes and genital warts justmakes it obvious. genital warts causes warts and nothing else no headaches no body symptoms just annoying warts. herpes causes headaches, body aches, nerve problems, and who knows what else so yes zaidoon it is possible me and you have herpes but are reacting to it in a horrible way. you would think that we would have sores aswell if our body can't handle this virus but it is very frustrating :(
there are billions of germs out there that can cause illness. It really isn't limited to herpes and hpv!!! When you have sex, you kiss and exchange germs that way too as well as genitally. Don't get hung up on just a handful of std's having to be the cause of everything from a sexual encounter.

Dont tell me about it man. these symptoms driving me crazy. Do u know what makes me more angry? whe i tell the Doc about it he tells me its only on my head!!!!! or it is anxiety related. There was a time when am not anxoius at all but still have these wierd sensation all over my body, mainly on thighs and legs. So, what do u think ? do u think its herpes?
numerous people seem to be getting these symptoms all after a sexual encounter, negative tests in everything else yet everyone seems to say "no this is not herpes". YOU WORK IT OUT. if its not herpes what else can it be except genital warts which doesn't have no symptoms at all. its so obvious yet everyone denys this ****. its obviously something we have caught from the other partner as WE NEVER GOT THESE BEFORE THE EXPOSURE.

I had oral sex from a girl at a stripclub and had symptoms similar to this but no Thrush. Just itching, tingling and burning in my gentials for the first 3 months. Also had what felt like sun burn or allergic reaction at times on my face, back, pretty much everywhere. I was super scared man and I am MARRIED! I messed up and felt like dying. But it's been 6 months since exposure and I have had 3 seperate STD tests. One at 2 weeks, 4 months and 6 months. ALL tests (HIV, HERPES 1&2, Chlmy, GON, Syph and All Hep) were negative, except Herpes 1. But that was postive at the 2 week testing and was an IGG test. The IGM test were negative in all 3 test for Herpes. My infectious Disease doctor said that I most likely had that since I was a kid and that it is very hard to get HSV-1 again, genitally. I sometimes have little itching or burning but rarely. I do somtimes get anxiety and that does cause itching and a burning. It just does that when your head trips. I would say, no weed smoking, lots of exercise and water. You gotta get as healthy as possible right now to keep your head right and health right so you can figure out what it is. I do feel the same way, all my doctors say it's nothing related to that episode but in my gut I don't agree. I know it's not HIV (oral sex is jsut about impossible) but I think it may be HSV-1 genital. But they seem to think different. I am afraid to have sex with my wife without a condom wven though the doctors say its ok. So I am haivng all sorts of tests done still of other ****, but you need to see a Infectious Disease dr and demand all those tests. Oh yeah, one last thing, at the 3 months mark, I got sick and my glands have been swollen on and off since (in my neck). And I feel tired and sluggish. That is why I am doing all these other tests. only thing is tbh you haven't really helped me or answered one of my questions except tell me these are not herpes related yet alot of other people say herpes can cause complications like these as it's a nerve virus.
what is the possibility of catching type 2 ontop of type 1 orally? without oral sex as obviously i did check my genitals ALOT and have touched my face yet i have no sores or anything so maybe i have transferred it.

i have now devoloped as to what looks like a pimple / coldsore on my top lip isnt it a coincidence? im just confused as to i already hasd hsv1 since a child like almost everyone i know and havent had an outbreak since i was about 8. then i come into contact with this girl and my genitals start showing symptoms now i have acne all over my face and a coldosre on my lip. can hsv2 develop ontop of hsv1 orally?????
i did but for one they are on the face not genitals and you can see it all very clearly can someone just tell me whether it looks like it or not ??
