Is it possible that this is NOT herpes?

Hi. I am pretty much resigned to the fact that I got herpes - yes, I am going to get tested soon. For the last month and a half I experienced burning and itching in my groin area (the head of my penis, between the legs and around the anus). I also have redness and itching on the head of my penis and foreskin. About a month ago I noticed a couple of milky white fluid filled "pimples" between my legs that disappeared. I did not see any for 3 weeks or so, but today I found 3 more on my inner thigh, here is a close-up (safe for work):

Two months ago I had sex with a girl that had a similar looking "pimple" on her vagina, so it is pretty safe to say that I got it from her. I've read a lot about herpes since then and it seems that my symptoms are typical of herpes except that the "pimples" are not painful, they do not seem to scab, the liquid is not clear but whitish (appears a little whiter in real life than pictured), and itching and burning never really went away since the symptoms started.
Could this be caused by anything other than herpes?

Hi EggMcMuffin
I have exactly the same symptoms and visual symptoms as you.
Did you find out what it was?
Cheers!

Thank you so much. I am reading a lot about folliculitis now and my symptoms match your diagnosis perfectly. The symptoms did not sound exactly like herpes but I could not find any other explanation. I will use topical antibiotic and see if it goes away. If it does not, I will see a doctor. Again, thank you!

we don't look at pics here. but your description of things it doesn't sound like herpes at all, but rather a folliculitis or something like that.

if you are worried, be seen by a doctor. if they suspect herpes, they can swab it and type it.
