Is it possible to get a hsv2 related folliculitis infection on the foot
About three months ago I ran into one of my ex's at the store. We talked for a short period of time exchanged numbers again and started seeing each other. About two weeks ago we had dinner at her place. Well I ended up staying the night and the morning she gave me oral. About two days later I had a burning sensation while I was urinating. I got it checked out at an immediate care center and was told chances are its a uti
or prostolitis. I took the std test and am now awaiting the results. They treated me with zithromax and a shot of rolephin just in case something came back positive. They also gave me cipro to take twice a day for seven days. The only std that was not checked was hsv2 which is why I am asking this. I now have an infection of folliculitis on my feet. I've heard that hsv 2 can not be related to folliculitis but hsv1 can. I've also heard that hsv2 mostly affects from the waist down. I have had cold sores before so I know I am infected with hsv1 but so is half the population. What I want to know is it possible for hsv2 to be related with folliculitis on your feet or is that more common
with hsv1? Is this bad timing or a sign of hsv 2 infection? Is it possible to get a folliculitis hsv2 related infection before your first out break of hsv2?
folliculitis on the feet has nothing to do with genital herpes. are you sure this is even folliculitis and not a fungal infection or even an eczema type issue? it's a strange location for folliculitis hence my questions.
just as a fyi - in your age group, only 30% of your peers has hsv1 orally. It doesn't reach 50% rates of infection in the US until your mid 30's or so.
you aren't likely to contract hsv2 from receiving oral sex
