. The fact is that I have done IgG tests for citomegalovirus (positive), HSVI and II (positive), Epstein barr virus (negative) and Cocksackie A (negative). No IgMs for any of them.
I have been with the lesions on my throat for almost two months now. I was wondering if it can be HSV or something else. How can I have a more specific diagnosis? Clearly it was not Herpangina. Thanks.
you would need to get a lesion culture of fresh symptoms in order to confirm that these are herpes going on. seeing an ENT specialist at this point would probably be in your best interest. It's unlikely that a herpes recurrence would last 2 months.
I will gladly take a look at your herpes test results if you get the specific results to post here - e.g. hsv1 igg 7.6 and hsv2 igg .23 or whatever they are.
