Is this HSV2?

Awhile back, I'd say a few weeks ago...I got what seemed to be a pimple on the underside of the shaft of my penis. I popped it, but I can't recall whether or not it had clear or white pus. It hurt the rest of my shaft around it, somewhat like a pimple would do. It popped quite easily too...about a week later, I got another bump on my pubic area (where my belt line is) which popped and definitely had WHITE pus. I heard that WHITE pus definitely signals it as a pimple or ingrown hair, and not herpes. I am deathly afraid to have herpes..any advice?? Also, this lesion on my shaft went away a few days after I popped it.
